Imagine a brave leader named Simón Bolívar! He was born a long, long time ago in a place called Venezuela. His family was rich, but sadly, he lost his parents when he was young. He loved to learn and traveled to faraway places like Spain. There, he met his wife, but she got sick and passed away. This made Simón very sad, but he didn't give up on his dreams!

The Big Promise!

While visiting Rome, Simón Bolívar made a super important promise. He looked at the beautiful buildings and thought about his home. He promised himself that he would fight to make his country and others free from the rule of kings in Spain. This was a HUGE promise, like promising to clean your whole room and the neighbor's too! He wanted everyone to be free to make their own choices.

Simón Bolívar became a great soldier and leader. He led armies across tall mountains, like climbing a giant's staircase! He fought many battles to free countries like Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. These countries are now their own nations, all thanks to him! He was so good at freeing people that they called him 'The Liberator'.

Simón Bolívar is a hero in many countries today. One country, Bolivia, is even named after him! He helped so many people gain their freedom. Even though he got sick and passed away, his story is still told because he was so brave and strong. He showed everyone that one person can make a big difference!
