Danube River

The Danube River is like a super-long, winding road made of water! It starts way up in the mountains of Germany, in a place called the Black Forest. From there, it travels a HUGE distance, longer than 100 school buses lined up end-to-end!

It wiggles and giggles its way through 10 different countries before it finally splashes into the Black Sea. That’s more countries than you have fingers and toes!

This amazing river is a busy place! Lots of different kinds of fish call the Danube home, swimming around in its waters. Big boats and little boats also use the river like a highway to carry things and people from one place to another.

It’s like a giant, watery playground and a super-important road all rolled into one! The water can be different colors depending on where you are, sometimes clear and sometimes a bit muddy.
