A Super Old Home!
People have called Colorado home for a VERY long time, even longer than your grandparents' grandparents! Ancient Native Americans lived here at least 13,500 years ago. What's That Name Mean?
The name Colorado comes from a Spanish word that means 'colored red' or 'ruddy'. This is probably because of the red rocks and soil you can find there.
