Where Did They Sail From?

Long, long ago, around 1200 BC, a group of seafaring people known as the Sea Peoples traveled across the big blue sea. They didn't all come from the same place! Some might have come from islands near Greece, like Crete, while others could have sailed from places like Sicily or even Turkey. They were like a big, adventurous team exploring new lands and making a big splash in history!

What Did They Do?

These Sea Peoples were known for their amazing sailing skills and their powerful ships. They traveled to different places, and sometimes they fought with people they met. Ancient drawings show them in battles, looking very determined! They were a big part of what happened in the world a super long time ago, and historians are still trying to figure out all their secrets.

Who Were They Really?

It's tricky to know exactly who all the Sea Peoples were because they were made up of different groups. Some names we know are the Lukka and the Weshesh. We don't know where the Weshesh came from, but the Lukka might have been from a place called Lycia. They were like a big, mixed group of travelers, each with their own story!

A Big Mystery!

The Sea Peoples are a bit like a puzzle that historians are still putting together. They appeared around the same time that many ancient cities were having big problems. Were the Sea Peoples the cause, or were they just part of the big changes happening? It's a fascinating mystery that makes us wonder about the past!
