Where is Illinois?
Imagine a giant map of the United States. Illinois is right in the middle, in a part called the Midwest. It's shaped a bit like a mitten! To its northeast, it has a giant bathtub called Lake Michigan. On its west side, a super long river called the Mississippi River flows. And to the south, two more rivers, the Wabash and Ohio, hug its edges. It's a place with lots of water nearby!

Illinois is famous for its amazing farms! The soil is super rich, like the best chocolate cake mix. This means farmers can grow lots of yummy food.
