Atlantic Forest

The Atlantic Forest is like a super long, green ribbon stretching along the coast of Brazil, all the way from the top to the bottom! It even dips into other countries like Paraguay and Argentina. It's a very wet and leafy place, full of trees that have broad leaves, not poky pine needles. It's so big, it used to be the second-largest rainforest on Earth, right after the Amazon!

This forest is bursting with life! It's home to more kinds of plants and animals than almost anywhere else. Think of it like a giant playground with endless slides and swings, but for nature! Many of these plants and animals can't be found anywhere else in the whole world. It's like having a special toy that only you and your best friend have!

A long, long time ago, when explorers first arrived, this forest was HUGE! It was so big, it would take many days to walk across. But over the years, people have built farms and cities, and sadly, a lot of the forest has disappeared. It's like if your favorite park suddenly got smaller because buildings were put there.

Even though it's smaller now, the Atlantic Forest is still super important. It helps clean the air we breathe and provides homes for amazing creatures.
