Her real name is Nouhad Wadie Haddad, but everyone knows her as Fairuz. She started singing when she was just a teenager, and her songs became so popular that people all over the Arab world fell in love with her music. She's like a superstar for millions of people!

Fairuz's singing journey began in a radio station in Lebanon when she was still a young girl. Her very first big hit song, called 'Itab', came out in 1952. It was such a success that she became famous overnight!

Later, she sang in a huge festival in a place called Baalbeck, which is like a giant ancient theater. She even got a special award from the president of Lebanon! Her music traveled far and wide, reaching cities like Damascus, Cairo, and even as far as Tunis.
