Lebanon

Imagine a country shaped like a long, skinny ribbon! Lebanon is in a part of the world called West Asia, right where the blue Mediterranean Sea meets the sandy lands. It's like a bridge between Europe and Asia.

To the north and east, it has a big neighbor called Syria, and to the south is Israel. Across the sea, you can even see the island of Cyprus! It's a pretty small country, about the size of a large playground, but it's packed with amazing things.

Lebanon has a beautiful mix of mountains and beaches. The land rises up into tall mountains, perfect for skiing in the winter! Then, it slopes down to the warm, sunny coast of the Mediterranean Sea, where you can swim and build sandcastles.

The weather is usually nice, with hot, dry summers and cool, rainy winters. This mix of mountains and sea makes Lebanon a special place with lots of different kinds of nature.

People have lived in Lebanon for a super long time, even before the pyramids were built in Egypt! For thousands of years, it was part of a famous seafaring group called the Phoenicians, who sailed all over the Mediterranean. Later, it was ruled by mighty empires like the Romans and Ottomans.

Think of all the stories these ancient lands could tell! The capital city, Beirut, is very old and has seen so much history.

Lebanon is known for its delicious food, like hummus and falafel, that many people around the world love! Even though it's small, it has a big culture. Many Lebanese people live in other countries, but they still love their homeland. Lebanon is a place where different kinds of people and religions have lived together for a very long time, making it a unique and vibrant country.
