Meet the Mountain Giants!

The Cascade Range is like a super long necklace of mountains that goes from Canada all the way down to California. Some of these mountains are actually volcanoes, like sleepy giants waiting to wake up! The tallest one is Mount Rainier, which is super, super tall, way taller than a school bus stacked on top of another school bus! It's a special place with forests, lakes, and even snowy tops.

Where the Volcanoes Live!

These mountains are part of a big circle of volcanoes around the Pacific Ocean called the 'Ring of Fire.' That means there are lots of volcanoes here! The Cascades have some of the most famous ones. The last time a volcano in this area erupted was Mount St. Helens in 1980, which was a HUGE event! It's like the Earth taking a really big, fiery breath!

Adventures in the Cascades!

Lots of amazing places are in the Cascade Range, like national parks where you can see incredible nature. You can hike on trails that go through forests and up mountains. The Pacific Crest Trail is a famous path that goes through these mountains for a long, long way. People love to explore and see the beautiful views and maybe even spot some cool animals!

A Home for Nature

The Cascade Range is a home for all sorts of plants and animals. You can find tall trees, colorful flowers, and maybe even see deer or bears if you're lucky and quiet. The mountains get lots of rain and snow, which helps everything grow. It's a wild and beautiful place that people want to protect so it stays amazing for everyone to enjoy.
