Who Lived Here First?
Long, long ago, even before your grandparents' grandparents were born, Native American tribes lived in Oregon. They knew all the best places to find food and build homes. Then, explorers from far away started visiting. Later, people came to live and trade, like in the old days of fur traders. Finally, Oregon became a state in the USA, like a new kid joining a big family!
