North Carolina: Where the Election Happened!

North Carolina is a state in the United States, like a big neighborhood with lots of people. In 2020, people in North Carolina got to choose who they wanted to be the President. It was like picking a team captain for the whole country! They voted on November 3rd. This state is known for its beautiful beaches and tall mountains. It's a place full of different kinds of nature.

Who Was Running the Race?

Two main teams were trying to win. One team had President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. The other team had former Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris. People in North Carolina had to decide which team they liked best. It was a very, very close contest, like a tie in a playground game!

A Super Tight Finish!

Guess what? The election in North Carolina was SO close! It was like a photo finish in a race. President Trump's team won, but only by a tiny bit. It was the closest race he had in any state that year. More than half the people voted for him, but it was just a little bit more than half. So many people had to make their choice!

Why Your Vote Matters!

This election showed that every single vote is super important. Even though President Trump won North Carolina, the difference in votes was smaller than a school bus is long! It means that when people vote, they are really helping to decide what happens. It's like when you help decide what game to play at recess โ€“ your choice counts!
