South Carolina

Imagine a giant map of the United States. South Carolina is in the southeastern part, like a friendly neighbor to North Carolina and Georgia. To its right, the big, blue Atlantic Ocean waves crash on the shore! It's a state that loves the water, with lots of beaches and even islands you can visit.

It has warm, sunny summers and mild winters, so it's rarely super cold.

This state has been around for a very, very long time! It was one of the first places where people from England started living in America. They even named it after a king! Lots of important events happened here a long time ago, like battles that helped decide how America would be. It's like a living history book!

People in South Carolina work in all sorts of jobs! Some help grow food like corn and soybeans, while others build amazing things like airplanes and cars. Many people also work in places that welcome visitors, like hotels and restaurants, because the beaches and beautiful scenery attract lots of tourists. It's a busy and exciting place!
