Key Facts
Welcome to St. Louis!
St. Louis is a super cool city in Missouri, right next to a HUGE river called the Mississippi River. It's like a big playground for grown-ups and kids! People have lived here for a very, very long time. It's a place full of fun things to see and do, and it's known as the 'Gateway to the West' because it was a starting point for many adventures long ago.
The Shiny Arch Adventure!
The most famous thing in St. Louis is the Gateway Arch. It's a giant, shiny metal arch that's taller than two Statue of Liberties stacked on top of each other! You can even ride a tiny tram car up inside it to see an amazing view of the city and the river. It was built to remember all the brave explorers who traveled west from St. Louis.
Fun Stuff to Do!
St. Louis has lots of awesome places to explore. There's a big free zoo where you can see lions and elephants, and a science center with cool experiments. You can also visit the City Museum, which is like a giant playground made from old buildings and pipes – it's super fun to climb around! And don't forget the baseball team, the Cardinals, who play in a big stadium.
River Boats and Sweet Treats!
Because St. Louis is on the Mississippi River, you can see big boats and even ride on a steamboat that looks like it's from a pirate movie! This city is also famous for gooey butter cake, which is a super yummy, sweet treat that you have to try if you visit. It’s a city with a lot of history and a lot of tasty food!
