Schleswig-Holstein

Schleswig-Holstein is Germany's northernmost state, like the pointy hat on a map of Germany! It's surrounded by two seas, the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. This means lots of beaches and boats! It's not super big, about the size of a large playground area. The weather can be a bit windy because of all the sea air. It's a beautiful place with lots of green fields and pretty coastlines.

This land has a super long history, like a really old storybook! For a long, long time, kings from Denmark ruled here, but people who spoke German also lived here. Sometimes, they even had arguments about who should be in charge!
