Miriam: A Brave Leader!

Miriam was a very special sister! She was the older sister of Moses and Aaron, who were also super important leaders. Imagine your big sister telling you stories about amazing adventures.

Miriam's story is like that, but it happened a super long time ago when her people were trying to get free from a place called Egypt. She was a prophetess, which means she could hear messages from God and share them. She was there when Moses was a baby, watching over him in a basket floating on the water.

One of the most exciting parts of Miriam's story is when she led everyone in a song! After they escaped from Egypt, the bad guys' army was stopped, and Miriam grabbed her special instrument, a tambourine, and started singing and dancing. She led all the women in a song of thanks and celebration.

It was like a huge, happy concert after a big challenge! This song was so important that it's still remembered today. She showed everyone how to be joyful and thankful.

Did you know there's a legend about a special well that followed Miriam and her people? It's called Miriam's Well! This magical well gave them water for 40 years as they traveled through the desert.

When Miriam died, the well disappeared. It's like a superhero's special power disappearing when they are gone. This shows how much Miriam meant to her people.
