Gyeonggi Province

Gyeonggi Province is like a super-sized ring around the capital city of South Korea, called Seoul. It's the most crowded place in the whole country! Even though Seoul is right in the middle, it's its own special city.

Gyeonggi is also home to another big city, Incheon, which is by the sea. Together, these three places are like a giant team that has more people than half of all the people in South Korea!

Long, long ago, the land that is now Gyeonggi Province was a very important place. It was where kings and queens lived and ruled the whole country. Over many years, cities grew bigger and bigger.

Seoul became the capital, and the land around it, Gyeonggi, became super important for farming and for people to live. It's been a busy place for a very, very long time, with lots of history happening there.

Gyeonggi Province is super important because so many people live there! It's like having a giant playground with millions of kids. Because so many people live and work in Gyeonggi, it helps the whole country run. It's where lots of food is grown, and where many important businesses are. It's like the engine that helps South Korea go!

Did you know that Gyeonggi Province is so big, it's like having over 1,700 soccer fields all put together? And it has more people than many countries combined! The area where Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi are all together is called Sudogwon. It's like a super-city with over 26 million people! That's more people than live in Australia and New Zealand put together!
