Meet Erden Eruç, the Super Explorer!

Erden Eruç is an adventurer who did something amazing: he traveled all the way around the Earth using only his own power! He didn't use airplanes or cars. Instead, he rowed boats across huge oceans, rode his bicycle on roads, and even hiked on trails.

It was like a giant, real-life video game adventure that took him over five years to complete! He started and finished his incredible journey in a place called Bodega Bay in California.

His Amazing Journey Around the World!

Erden Eruç's trip was super long, like driving to the moon and back almost twice! He traveled 66,299 kilometers. He rowed a special boat across the big, blue oceans, which are much bigger than any swimming pool you've ever seen. For land parts, he used a bicycle, which is like the ones you might ride in the park, but he rode it for thousands of miles! He even used a kayak to explore coastlines.

Climbing Mountains for a Friend!

Erden Eruç also has a special project called the Six Summits Project. This means he wants to climb the tallest mountains on six different continents, like North America, Africa, and Australia! He does this to remember his friend who loved adventures too.

He's already climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, which is super tall, and Denali in North America, which is even taller than 10 giraffes stacked on top of each other!

Records That Make You Say WOW!

Because Erden Eruç did such an incredible journey, he set world records! He's the first person ever to go around the entire world by himself using only human power. He also set records for rowing across oceans. He rowed across the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean, traveling farther than anyone else has before. It shows that with determination, you can do almost anything!
