It's a place with a very, very long history!

Australia is famous for its super unique animals! Think kangaroos that hop everywhere and koalas that love to munch on eucalyptus leaves. You'll also find platypuses, which are like a mix of a duck and a beaver, and colorful parrots. Many of these animals can't be found anywhere else on the planet. It's a real-life zoo of amazing creatures!

Most Australians live near the coast, where it's cooler and there's more rain. They live in big, busy cities like Sydney, famous for its amazing Opera House, and Melbourne.
