Downtown Pittsburgh

Imagine two big rivers, the Allegheny and the Monongahela, giving each other a hug! Where they meet, they become a new river called the Ohio. Downtown Pittsburgh is shaped like a triangle, right where these rivers join. It's like a special meeting spot for water! The land here is flat and perfect for building, with lots of busy streets and tall buildings.

A long, long time ago, there was a fort here called Fort Duquesne. It was a French fort! Later, this spot became super important for making things like steel and other treasures. Rich and famous people like Andrew Carnegie and Henry Heinz made their fortunes here. They built big companies that are still around today, like PNC Bank and U.S. Steel!
