Bronx Zoo

Now, it has way more! Millions of people visit every year to see lions, tigers, and bears, oh my! It's one of the biggest zoos in the whole United States, and it's a place where animals can live in homes that look a lot like where they come from in the wild.

Did you know the Bronx Zoo has been around for over 100 years? It started with special buildings designed to look like fancy pavilions around a big pool for sea lions. The very first director loved animals so much he stayed for 30 years!
