Where is Utah Hiding?
Imagine a giant puzzle piece in the western part of the United States! That's Utah. It's like a secret clubhouse because it doesn't touch any oceans. It has neighbors like Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and Nevada. Most of the people live in two busy spots, like two big playgrounds, one in the north and one in the southwest. The rest of Utah is super spread out, with lots of open space.

Long, long ago, people called the ancient Puebloans and the Ute tribe lived in Utah. Then, explorers from Spain came. Later, people called Mormons came on a special trail to find a new home.
After a big war, Utah became part of the United States. It took a while for Utah to become a state because people had different ideas about how things should be done. Finally, in 1896, it officially became the 45th state!

People in Utah are called Utahns. A lot of Utahns are part of a church called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and its main office is in Salt Lake City. This church is a big part of what makes Utah special! But guess what? More and more people are coming to Utah, and they have all sorts of different beliefs, making Utah a colorful mix of friends.

Utah is a busy place with lots of jobs! People work in cool jobs like building things, using computers, and helping others. Utah is also a super popular place for people to visit and see its amazing red rocks and mountains. It's like a giant playground for tourists! Utah has been growing super fast, with more and more people moving there to find exciting opportunities.
