Key Facts
Meet the Super Athletes!
Ultraman is a super-duper, three-day race where athletes swim, bike, and run a really, really long way! It's like a giant adventure for your body. The whole race is longer than walking from your house to the park and back many, many times. It's designed to see how strong and tough people can be, pushing their bodies to the very limit.
Where Did This Giant Race Come From?
This amazing race started on a big island in Hawaii called the Big Island. It's like a special challenge that people loved so much, they started having similar races all over the world! These other races are also called Ultraman, and they all follow the same super-hard rules as the first one. It's a way to celebrate amazing human strength.
What Makes It So Tough?
This race is split into three parts, one for each day. Day one has a super long swim in the ocean, then a bike ride that's longer than riding to school and back for a whole week! Day two is an even longer bike ride, and day three is a super long run, like running two marathons back-to-back! Each part has to be finished before it gets dark, or the athletes can't continue.
Who Can Do This Amazing Race?
Only very special athletes can join the Ultraman race. They have to be at least 20 years old, which is like being in high school! And they can't just sign up; they have to be invited. Plus, each athlete needs a team of friends or family to help them along the way, making sure they have food and water. It’s a team effort for a super-tough challenge!
