The Trojan War: A Legendary Fight!

The Trojan War was a super famous, super old fight between two groups of people: the Achaeans (who were like ancient Greeks) and the people of Troy. It was said to last for ten whole years! Think of it like a really, really long game of tag, but with heroes and gods involved. It's one of the most famous stories from ancient times, told in epic poems.

The story says the war started because a prince from Troy, named Paris, took Helen, who was the most beautiful woman in the world and married to a king in Greece. The Greek king was very angry and gathered a huge army to get Helen back. So, it was all about a stolen bride and a lot of angry heroes wanting to win her back!

After ten years of fighting, the Achaeans had an amazing idea. They pretended to sail away and left behind a giant, hollow wooden horse. The Trojans thought it was a gift and brought it inside their city walls. But guess what? Soldiers were hiding inside the horse! At night, they climbed out, opened the city gates, and the Achaean army came back to win the war!
