Thebes, Greece

Thebes is a city in a part of Greece called Boeotia. It's like a special spot in the middle of the country. Think of it as a really, really old town that's still buzzing with life today! It's the biggest town in its area, which is pretty cool. This place has seen so many things happen over thousands of years, making it one of the oldest cities in the whole world that people still live in.

Thebes is famous for amazing stories from ancient times! It's where heroes like Heracles and Dionysus lived. There are myths about a brave person named Cadmus who supposedly founded the city.

Imagine a city built by heroes! It was also a super important place during the Bronze Age, even having its own special writing called Linear B. It was like a big, important city back then, with lots of people and activity.
