What Does Sonora Look Like?
Sonora has amazing landscapes! In the east, there are tall mountains called the Sierra Madre Occidental, reaching way up high. In the middle, the land rolls like gentle hills and flat plains. And along the coast, you find sandy beaches next to the Gulf of California. Most of Sonora is like a desert or dry grassland, but the highest mountains get enough rain for different kinds of plants.
