Russian Empire

The Russian Empire was like a super-duper big country that existed for a very long time, from 1721 all the way until 1917. It was so huge that it covered parts of Europe and Asia, making it the largest country in the world back then! Think of it as a giant playground that stretched across two continents.

It had many different kinds of people, from snowy forests to sunny steppes, all living under one ruler.

The leaders of the Russian Empire were called Tsars (or Czares). They were like kings, but even more powerful! The first Tsar was Peter the Great, who wanted to make Russia more like other European countries.

He built a beautiful new city called St. Petersburg, which was like a brand new capital city built from scratch. The Tsars lived in amazing palaces, like the Winter Palace, which was so big it had over 1,000 rooms!

The Russian Empire was always exploring and expanding its lands. Russian explorers sailed across the Pacific Ocean and even reached Alaska in North America! They were like brave adventurers discovering new places. The empire was also known for its beautiful art, music, and ballet.
