Imagine a super-duper busy city called New York City! That's where New York City FC, or NYCFC, calls home. They play soccer games in big stadiums, like Yankee Stadium, which is so big it could fit lots and lots of playgrounds inside!

Sometimes they even play at Citi Field. These stadiums are in different parts of the city, like the Bronx and Queens. It's like having different secret hideouts for their games!

NYCFC is a newer team, starting to play soccer games in 2015. That's not too long ago! They were the 20th new team to join the big soccer league called MLS.

It was the very first time a professional soccer team was based right in New York City itself. They even have a special game against another team called the New York Red Bulls, and they call it the Hudson River Derby. It's like a friendly rivalry!

Guess what? NYCFC became champions in 2021! They won the big MLS Cup, which is like winning the Super Bowl for soccer. They also won another cool trophy called the Campeones Cup. This means they played against a team from another country and won! They were the first team from New York to ever win a trophy from another country. How cool is that?!

Lots and lots of people love to watch NYCFC play. They are one of the most popular teams in the league when it comes to fans showing up! The team is also worth a lot of money, like a billion dollars! That's a number with nine zeros! It shows how much people believe in this exciting soccer club that brings so much energy to New York City.
