Loyalism

Imagine you have a favorite superhero. Loyalists were like super-fans of their king or queen! They believed it was super important to be loyal to the ruler of their country, like Britain. Even when other people wanted to do their own thing, Loyalists stuck by their king. They thought it was the right thing to do, like following the rules in a game. It was a big part of who they were!

They thought staying with Britain was the best choice. This disagreement caused a big fight, like a huge argument between friends. It was like moving to a new town because you wanted to be with people who thought the same way you did. They built new homes and communities, but they always remembered their loyalty to the British crown.

Being loyal means sticking with something or someone you believe in. For Loyalists, it meant believing in their country and its leader. Even though it was hard, they stayed true to their beliefs.
