Where is Kuwait?
Imagine a country shaped like a smile on the edge of a big blue sea called the Persian Gulf! Kuwait is in a part of the world called the Middle East. It has two big neighbors, Iraq to the north and Saudi Arabia to the south.
Kuwait has a long, sandy coastline, perfect for building sandcastles! Most of the people live in Kuwait City, the capital, which is a bustling place full of tall buildings and busy streets.
A Land of Sand and Sun!
Kuwait is mostly a desert, which means it's very sandy and can get super hot! The sun shines a lot, and sometimes sandstorms blow through, like a giant dust cloud. But don't forget the amazing Persian Gulf! It's a huge body of saltwater where boats sail and fish swim. Kuwait also has islands, like Bubiyan Island, which is the biggest one and a great place for birds to visit.
From Old Times to Now!
Long, long ago, people lived in Kuwait because it was a good place to trade. Later, it became a special place called a Sheikdom. Then, a super important discovery was made in 1938 oil! This black, gooey stuff underground helped Kuwait grow and change a lot. In 1961, Kuwait became a totally independent country, free to make its own rules!
People and Fun Things!
Kuwait is home to lots of people from all over the world, but also many Kuwaiti citizens. They love to share their culture! Kuwait is famous for its amazing TV shows, especially soap operas, that people watch all around. They also have a special way of celebrating holidays and enjoy delicious food.
