Emirate: Lands Ruled by Emirs!

An emirate is like a kingdom, but instead of a king, it's ruled by a leader called an Emir. Think of it as a special territory with its own ruler. In the past, these were often smaller than a big empire called a caliphate. Today, some emirates are their own countries, like little islands of leadership in the world!
