John Muir: The Mountain Man Who Loved Nature!

John Muir was a super curious guy who was born a long, long time ago in Scotland. He loved exploring the wild outdoors more than anything! He'd wander through forests, climb tall mountains, and marvel at sparkling rivers. He wrote amazing stories about his adventures, sharing the beauty he saw with millions of people. He wanted everyone to see how special nature is and why we need to protect it.

When John was a young boy, his family moved all the way to America. He grew up on a farm but always dreamed of the wild. As a grown-up, he explored amazing places like the Sierra Nevada mountains in California.

He saw trees so big they looked like giant green skyscrapers and valleys carved by ice, like Yosemite. He was so amazed by these places that he wanted to make sure they stayed safe forever.

John Muir was like a superhero for nature! He told presidents and important people about how beautiful and important places like Yosemite Valley were. Because of his stories and hard work, these special places became National Parks!

This means they are protected so we can visit them and enjoy their beauty for hundreds of years. He also helped start a club called the Sierra Club to keep protecting nature.

John Muir's biggest gift to us is showing us how to love and protect the Earth. He taught us that nature is like a giant, wonderful playground and a home for all sorts of animals and plants.
