How Polk Made America Grow!
President Polk had big goals! In his first year, he helped Texas become part of the United States. Then, he led America into a war with Mexico. When the war ended, America gained a GIANT amount of land, stretching all the way to the Pacific Ocean! It was like finding a whole new continent to explore.
