Hunan

Hunan is a special place in the middle of China, like a big puzzle piece! It's not on the coast, so it's called an inland province. It has neighbors like Hubei, Jiangxi, Guangdong, and more. The biggest city here is called Changsha, and it's right next to a river named the Xiang River. Think of it as a giant playground in the heart of China, full of exciting things to see and do!

Hunan is a super popular place, with over 66 million people living there! That's more people than all the kids in your school multiplied by a million! It's one of the most crowded places in China. Imagine if everyone in your town, and every town nearby, and every town even further away, all lived in Hunan. That's a lot of friends!

Hunan has beautiful nature, like tall mountains and flowing rivers. One famous spot called Wulingyuan looks like it's from a fairy tale, with giant rock pillars reaching for the sky. It's so special that it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which means it's protected for everyone to enjoy. The Xiang River is super important, like the main highway of the province!

Hunan loves learning! It has lots of schools and universities, more than many other places in China. One of the oldest schools, Yuelu Academy, is over 1,000 years old! That's older than your grandparents' grandparents! They even have universities that are famous for science and technology, helping kids become super smart.
