People have lived in Thailand for a super, super long time, even longer than your grandparents' grandparents! Long ago, there were powerful kingdoms with kings and queens. One famous kingdom was called Ayutthaya, which was very grand until it was sadly destroyed.

Then, a new king started a new kingdom, and eventually, the country was renamed Thailand. It's a place with a history as rich as a chocolate cake!
