Hubert Humphrey

Imagine a super helper for the country! That was Hubert Humphrey. He was born a long, long time ago, in 1911. He loved learning and became a teacher before he decided to help run cities and even the whole country. He was like a captain on a big ship, guiding it through important decisions.

Hubert Humphrey had a really big job called Vice President. It's like being the President's best friend and helper. He worked with President Lyndon B. Johnson. Together, they helped make new rules and plans for the United States from 1965 to 1969. It was a very busy time!

One of the most amazing things Hubert Humphrey did was help make sure everyone was treated fairly. He worked hard to stop people from being treated differently just because of the color of their skin. He believed everyone deserved to be treated with kindness and respect, like friends on the playground.

Even when things were tough, Hubert Humphrey kept trying his best. He wanted to be President too, and he worked super hard to get people to vote for him. Although he didn't win that time, he always kept working to make the country a better place. He showed us that trying your best is what matters most.
