Key Facts
Where Was Ghazi's Kingdom?
Ghazi was the king of a place called Iraq. Iraq is in a part of the world called the Middle East. It's a land with deserts and rivers, like the mighty Tigris and Euphrates rivers.
These rivers are super important because they bring water to the land, helping plants grow and people live. The weather there can be very hot, especially in the summer, like a super warm day at the playground that lasts for months!
Ghazi's Royal Family Tree
Ghazi was born a prince! His dad was King Faisal I, who was also a ruler of Iraq. Ghazi was his only son, so he was very special. When his dad's time as king was over, Ghazi became king himself. He was like the heir to a big castle, ready to take on the important job of leading his country. He was born in a city called Mecca, which is a very important place for many people.
A King's Short Reign
Ghazi became king in 1933. He was king for about six years. Sadly, his time as king ended too soon. He passed away in 1939 when he was still quite young. After he was gone, his own son, Faisal II, became the next king. It’s like a relay race where the baton is passed from one runner to the next, but in this case, it’s a crown being passed down.
What Did Ghazi Do?
As king, Ghazi had a big job. He was in charge of his country, Iraq. He helped make decisions about how things should be run. He was also the Crown Prince for a short time in another country called Syria before becoming king of Iraq. Being a king or a prince means you have a lot of responsibility, like being the captain of your sports team, but for a whole country!
