Dearborn, Michigan

Dearborn is a city in Michigan, a state shaped like a mitten! It's like a neighbor to a big city called Detroit. If you were to drive from downtown Detroit, it would take you about as long as it takes to watch your favorite cartoon episode to get to Dearborn.

It's a busy place where lots of people live and work, making it the seventh biggest city in all of Michigan. It's a place full of interesting things to discover!

A super long time ago, explorers from France thought Dearborn was so pretty because of all the bubbling springs! They called it 'Place aux Fontaines,' which means 'Place of Fountains.' Later, it was called Springwells. Then, a very important person named Henry Ford was born there!

He invented a way to make cars faster and cheaper, and he built his car company, Ford, right there. This made Dearborn a super important place for making cars.

Dearborn is famous because it's the hometown of Henry Ford, the amazing inventor who helped make cars for everyone. He even built his big house there called Fair Lane! There's also a giant museum called The Henry Ford, which is like a huge playground of history with old cars, planes, and even a whole village!
