Key Facts
Meet the Car King!
Henry Ford was born a long, long time ago, on July 30, 1863. He grew up on a farm in Michigan, but he dreamed of machines! When he was a teenager, he moved to the big city of Detroit to work. He loved tinkering with engines and soon started building his own cars. He was so good at it that he started his own company, the Ford Motor Company, in 1903. He wanted everyone to be able to drive!
The Car That Changed Everything!
Henry Ford's most famous car was the Model T. It came out in 1908 and was a HUGE deal! Before Henry Ford, cars were super expensive, like a fancy toy only rich people could buy. But Henry Ford figured out a clever way to build cars faster and cheaper. This meant that regular families could finally afford to buy a car. It was like magic for getting around!
Assembly Line Superpower!
How did Henry Ford make cars so fast and cheap? He invented something called the assembly line! Imagine building a toy car.
Instead of one person building the whole thing, imagine a line of friends, each adding one small part. That's kind of like an assembly line! Each worker did one job over and over.
This made building cars super speedy and saved lots of money. It was a totally new way to build things!
Why We Still Love Henry Ford Today!
Because of Henry Ford, cars became a normal part of life. People could travel farther and faster than ever before. This changed how people lived, worked, and even where they built their homes. His ideas about building things helped make America a place where lots of new inventions could be made. He showed everyone that with a good idea and hard work, you can change the whole world!
