Chhattisgarh is surrounded by seven other states, like a friendly neighbor to many.

Did you know Chhattisgarh has caves older than your grandparents' grandparents? The Sitabenga caves are super old, from around 300 BCE! That's when people were building amazing things like the pyramids. These caves are special because they might be some of the very first places in India where people put on plays. Imagine watching a show in a cave from so long ago!

Chhattisgarh is like a superhero for India because it has so many amazing resources! It has the third most coal in the whole country, which helps make electricity for everyone. It also has tons of forests, covering more than 40% of the state. That's like having more than 4 out of every 10 houses in your neighborhood surrounded by trees!

Chhattisgarh has a long, long story. For hundreds of years, different kings ruled this land. Then, it became part of a bigger state called Madhya Pradesh. But people wanted their own special place, so on November 1, 2000, Chhattisgarh became a brand new state! Its capital city is called Raipur, and it's a busy place where important decisions are made.
