Brunei: The Jewel of Borneo!

Brunei is a super small country tucked away on the island of Borneo, which is one of the biggest islands in the world! It's like a little piece of land that only touches the big, blue South China Sea. All around it, like a giant hug, is another country called Malaysia. Brunei is the only country that is completely on Borneo, which is pretty special!

Brunei is ruled by a Sultan, who is like a king! The Sultan has been in charge for a very long time. Brunei is famous for having lots of oil and gas, which makes the country very wealthy. This wealth helps the people of Brunei get free houses, healthcare, and education. It's like a country that takes really good care of its citizens!

A long, long time ago, Brunei was much bigger and was like a giant kingdom that stretched over lots of land. Explorers even visited Brunei a super long time ago, back when Magellan's crew sailed the world! Even though it got smaller over time, it's still a country with a proud past. It became a totally independent country in 1984.

The main language spoken in Brunei is Malay. Most people in Brunei are Muslim, and the country has beautiful mosques. The capital city is called Bandar Seri Begawan, and it's where most people live. It's a peaceful place where the government tries to make sure everyone is looked after.
