Indonesia is a super special country because it's made up of more than 17,000 islands! That's more islands than you can count on your fingers and toes, even if you counted all your friends' fingers and toes too! Some of the biggest islands are Sumatra, Java, and Sulawesi.

It's like a giant puzzle spread out between two big oceans, the Indian and the Pacific. The weather is usually warm and sunny, perfect for exploring!

Even though it's made of so many islands, Indonesia is HUGE! It's the 14th biggest country in the whole world. But guess what? It's also home to over 280 million people! That's a lot of people, more than twice the population of all of Canada! Most people live on the island of Java, which is the busiest island in the world. It's like having a giant playground with millions of friends to play with!

Long, long ago, people in Indonesia were super smart traders. They sailed their boats to faraway lands to swap goods like spices. Later, different kingdoms grew, and people brought new ideas and religions.
