Meet the Awesome Brown University!

Brown University is like a very special, very old school in a city called Providence, Rhode Island. It's one of the first colleges ever started in the United States, way back in 1764! That's even before your great-great-great-great-grandparents were born. It's a place where students go to learn all sorts of cool things and become super smart.

A School with a Long, Long Story

Brown University has a super long history! It started as the 'College in the English Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations'. Can you imagine saying that? It was one of the very first colleges that said everyone could come, no matter what they believed in. This was a really big deal back then!

Super Smarty Pants Power!

Brown University is famous for its smarty pants! Many people who went to Brown or taught there have won Nobel Prizes, which is like getting a gold medal for being super brilliant. Some have even won Pulitzer Prizes for writing amazing stories or plays. It's a place where clever ideas grow!

Learning Without Limits!

One of the coolest things about Brown is its 'Open Curriculum'. This means students get to choose what they want to learn more than other schools. They don't have to take as many required classes, so they can really dive deep into the subjects they love the most. It's like picking your favorite subjects in school and getting to study them all day!
