Baltic States Power Up with Europe!

Meet Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia! They're like three best friends living together in Northern Europe. Think of them as being on the eastern side of the big Baltic Sea. They're not super close to countries like France or Spain, but they're now plugged into their big electricity network, like joining a giant playground for power!

For a long time, these countries shared their electricity with places like Belarus and Russia. But they decided it was time for a change! They wanted to connect to a bigger, more modern electricity system called CESA, which is like a super-highway for power that goes all across Europe. It's like upgrading from a small town road to a super-fast interstate!

Connecting to CESA is a big deal! It means their electricity can be more reliable, like making sure your video games never freeze because the power went out. It's also safer and helps them work together with lots of other countries. Imagine if your favorite toy could be powered by electricity from anywhere in Europe – that's kind of what they're doing!

This amazing project, called Baltic Synchro, was a huge success! On February 9, 2025, they officially switched over. Now, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia are part of a much larger electricity family. It's like they've graduated to a bigger league, ready to share and receive power from all over continental Europe!
