Have you ever seen a baby with a super round or long head? Sometimes, people helped make heads that shape on purpose! They would gently press on a baby's soft head when it was still growing. It was like molding playdough, but with a real baby's head! Different cultures liked different shapes, like flat, long, or even pointy heads. To make heads flat, people might have used soft cloths to wrap the baby's head. For longer heads, they might have used two pieces of wood to gently squeeze the head. For rounder shapes, they might have used cloth too. They were very careful because babies are delicate. It was a slow process, done with love and intention.
