Alexander Mackenzie: The Explorer Who Crossed a Continent!

Alexander Mackenzie was a Scottish explorer who traveled way, way out west in North America. He was part of a company that traded furs, like beaver pelts, which were very valuable back then. His big dream was to find new places for his company to get these furs and then send them all the way to China!

He explored a huge part of Canada, a land filled with amazing forests, sparkling rivers, and tall mountains.
