Who Gets to Be the Boss?

In Moldova, a country far away, people get to choose who makes the rules. It's like picking the captain of your soccer team! The people who get chosen sit in a big room called Parliament.

They are the ones who make laws, which are like rules for everyone. The 2025 election was a day when lots of grown-ups went to vote for the people they wanted to represent them. It was a really big deal for the country!

Picking New Leaders!

There were different teams, or parties, trying to get chosen. Some teams wanted Moldova to be closer to Europe, like making friends with lots of countries. Other teams wanted to be closer to Russia. It was like choosing between two different playgrounds to play on! The voters had to decide which team they thought would be best for Moldova's future. It was a tough choice for many people!

Why This Vote Was Extra Special!

This election was super important because it could decide if Moldova could join a big club of countries called the European Union. The President of Moldova said it was the most important vote ever! Some people tried to trick voters with fake news, like telling silly stories that weren't true. They even tried to make protests happen. But the voters still showed up to make their voices heard!

The Big Count!

To make sure the election was fair, at least one-third of the grown-ups had to vote. If not enough people voted, the election wouldn't count! But guess what? More than half of the people voted, which is like almost everyone in your class raising their hand! One team, called PAS, won the most votes and got to make the rules. It was a big day for Moldova!
