William Blackstone: The First Bostonian!

William Blackstone was a super early settler in America, way before most people even thought about living there. He was born in England and came to America when it was still a wild, new land. He loved exploring and finding quiet, beautiful spots.

He was like a real-life adventurer, but instead of treasure, he was looking for a peaceful place to call home. He was the first person to decide that the land where Boston now stands was a great place to live!

William Blackstone found a beautiful peninsula, which is a piece of land with water all around it, except for one side. He built his little house there and loved his garden, especially his apple trees. He was a bit shy and liked his own company, but he was also friendly.
