War against the Islamic State

Imagine a group called the Islamic State (IS) started taking over places in Iraq and Syria. They did very bad things, like hurting people and making them leave their homes. This made other countries very worried. They decided they had to do something to stop IS from causing more harm and spreading its power. It was like a big problem that needed a big solution from many helpers.

Lots of countries decided to join forces. The United States and Iran, even though they are very different, both started sending planes and soldiers to help Iraq. Other countries like Saudi Arabia and Jordan also joined in. Even Russia sent its planes to help fight IS in Syria. It was like a giant team-up of countries working together to protect people and stop the bad guys.

Yes, they did! By 2019, the countries fighting IS had made them lose almost all the land they had taken. The leader of IS was even caught and died during a special mission. While there are still a few IS fighters hiding, they are not as strong as they used to be. The world worked together to make things safer again.

Even though IS is not a big threat anymore, the world learned that by cooperating, they could overcome dangerous challenges.
