Trajan

Imagine being the boss of a giant empire! That's what Trajan was. He was a Roman Emperor, which meant he was like the king of Rome, a super powerful city long, long ago. He was born a long time ago, in the year 53 AD. He became emperor in 98 AD and ruled for almost 20 years. He was known for being a brave soldier and a fair leader. People liked him a lot because he made Rome bigger and better!

Trajan wasn't just sitting on a throne. He was a real adventurer! He loved leading his soldiers into battle.

He was so good at it that he made the Roman Empire much, much bigger. He conquered new lands, like Dacia (which is part of modern-day Romania). He was like a superhero general, always protecting his people and making the empire strong.

His soldiers respected him because he was brave and fought alongside them.

Trajan loved building things! He built amazing structures that people still talk about today. His most famous building is Trajan's Column, a tall, twisty tower covered in pictures that tell stories of his battles.

He also built beautiful public baths where people could relax and swim, and a huge marketplace. These buildings were like the skyscrapers and shopping malls of ancient Rome, showing how rich and powerful the empire was.

Trajan was one of the best Roman emperors ever! He was called 'Optimus Princeps,' which means 'the best ruler.' He made sure people had food, built roads, and kept the empire safe. He was so good at his job that for many years after him, new emperors were chosen based on how much they were like Trajan. He showed everyone what a great leader could do for their people and their country.
