Rome: The Eternal City!

Rome is a super special city in Italy, a country shaped like a boot! It's right in the middle of Italy, near the big blue Mediterranean Sea. Think of Italy as a country in Europe, a big continent with lots of countries. Rome is like the heart of Italy, and it's built on seven hills, which means it's a bit bumpy and hilly, like a fun playground!

Rome is SO old! People say it was founded a super long time ago, in 753 BC. That's almost 2,800 years ago! Imagine your grandparents' grandparents' grandparents' grandparents – Rome is even older than that! It started as a small village and grew into a giant empire that ruled over many lands.

Rome is famous for so many cool things! It has the Colosseum, a giant arena where gladiators used to have epic fights. There's also the Pantheon, a building with a giant hole in the roof! And don't forget the Vatican City, where the Pope lives. Plus, the food is amazing – think yummy pizza and pasta!

Did you know that Rome is sometimes called the 'Eternal City'? That's because it's been around for such a super long time! It's also home to the Trevi Fountain, where if you throw a coin, you're supposed to come back to Rome someday. Millions of people visit Rome every year to see all its amazing sights!
